This is a Universal Spill Kit OSHA Approved - Biohazard Clean up Kit for Oil, Water & Chemicals. There are other types of spill kits: Oil-Only Spill Kits (White) andChemical Spill Kits (Yellow). Since we primarily need to pick up oil, I researched why a business would choose a Universal Spill Kit vs other spill kits. I found out that an Oil-Only spill kit (White) is meant to be used outdoors, and repels water so that it will pick up oil in a wet environment, and the pads will even float on top of the water. A Chemical Spill Kit (Yellow) would be best to have on hand to pick up aggressive and hazardous chemicals, such as acids, and the absorbents are chemically resistant so they won’t degrade. For our purposes, this Universal Spill Kit is the best fit since it will pick up oil spills, water spills, and non-hazardous chemicals. This kit includes 15 Absorbent Pads, 2 Socks, PPE, four red Biohazard Bags, a Bright Orange Duffel Bag and is either comparably priced or less expensive than similar kits that include a duffel/tote bag. The Bright Orange Duffel Bags has a zipper, and works fine, but is of the same material as reusable shopping bags, and looks like it would tear easily. Everything fit back into the bag, and the bright orange color means it is easy to find. If one wanted a kit that included a bucket, those kits are so much more expensive that it would be more economical to get this kit and purchase a bucket separately. You could even DIY your own spill kit, but this one works, looks good, and is not too expensive. In one of the photos I included with this review, there is a tissue box for size comparison. If one were looking for something practical to give a truck driver or new business owner, this would make a nice gift.
